Jeanne Lanvin, founder of the famous fashion house Lanvin is honoured with a retrospective at the Palais Galliera in Paris until 23rd August 2015.
A little history
Jeanne Lanvin (1867 - 1946) is the founder of Lanvin, the oldest fashion house in existence to date.
Her daughter was her initial inspiration, and she created a range of children’s clothing in 1908, before developing her women’s collections. Always ambitious, Jeanne Lanvin went on to launch collections of bridal wear, fur, lingerie, sports clothing and accessories.
After opening boutiques all over the world, the founder of Lanvin branched into perfumes with the creation of Arpège in 1927.
This highly creative visionary is now one of the most famous and enduring names in the fashion world, and Palais Galleria invites you to explore her world.
