Dining the Joey Starr way
To celebrate the return of sunny days, the restaurant located on the sixth floor of the Printemps Haussmann asked rap star Joey Starr to compose, along with chef Clément Blondeau, a unique and very personal menu for the Bleu Coupole restaurant. You’ll find there all the passion of the performer but also the diversity of his influences, from his Caribbean roots to his passion for local cuisine, Basque in particular. Salicornia salad, pecan-crusted trout, ceviche… Each dish beneath the magnificent Printemps dome is an invitation to travel.
All the colours of the rainbow at Galeries Lafayette
Originally, the impressive glass dome of the Galeries Lafayette Haussmann was covered with stained glass, but this disappeared during the Second World War. Today, thanks to the Korean artist Kimsooja and her installation The Breath, it has regained all its shimmering colours, changing in accordance with the whims of the sunlight. The artist has installed a film wrap that diffracts the light and creates multihued and moving reflections. The result is a fascinating, luminous and ephemeral landscape that evolves with every moment. Discover it by walking through the outdoor spaces and between the inner and outer domes, which are currently open to the public.
Fifteen minutes and ten minutes on foot from the Chess Hotel, the Printemps Haussmann and Galeries Lafayette department stores continually offer new shopping experiences, wellness sessions, and gourmet and artistic adventures. The June programme, ranging from the culinary creations of Joey Starr to the colourful magic of Kimsooja, is proving to be particularly enticing.
